I know there’s a whole crew of you out there that love to make fun of Grape Nuts. They even made that series of ads where the guy couldn’t hear important things (like, “There’s a bear.” Or, “You’re fired!”) Because he was eating those crunchy Grape Nuts.
Well, I for one love Grape Nuts, Post Cereal, and Post Cereal Coupons. Three reasons. Read ‘em.
First: they’re good! Sure there’s no cartoon character on the box or even a prize inside. And of course, they’re not “frosted”. I love that word. Talk about spin-doctor, who came up with that one? Whew! No it’s not blasted with sugar and then coated in sugar and then rolled in more sugar. It’s how shall we say…frosted!
Anyway, Grape Nuts is not frosted or any of those other things, but it is good, and it is good for you.
Second reason I love Grape Nuts is because of my great grandma. She only ever stocked two kinds of cereal in her old farmhouse kitchen: Shredded Wheat and Grape Nuts. Two classics you can always count on, just like my great grandma.
In fact the other day in the supermarket, I saw that they are selling the original yellow boxes of the full-sized shredded wheat again. I haven’t seen those in years.
And that brings me to the third reason I love Grape Nuts—Post Cereal Coupons. We’re going to eat Post, because it’s our fave, so we may as well save on it too.
