The other day my kids spent a good 20 minutes trying to convince me that pizza is a healthy meal. I finally relented and ordered pizza for dinner because I was impressed with their debating skills, and because I had some free Pizza Coupons, which saved me a lot of money. But I still let them think they had a good argument.

Those little monkeys told me all sorts of things about how pizza is actually a tasty Italian meal and not just American junk food. Then they told me how pizza really covers all of the food groups. They told me they were even willing to order extra veggies on the pizza to make it healthy. Who has ever seen such persistent kids?

 

In the end I ordered the pizza, like I said, because I was impressed with their bargaining skills. I was also super impressed that they went to my computer and found my coupon sites and printed out pizza coupons for the type of pizza that they wanted.

Now that I know how much work these kids are actually capable of, I’m going to have them help plan meals, gather free in store printable coupons, and I’m definitely going to make them eat even more veggies than before. All of this because of a hankering for some pizza, some hungry kids, and free pizza coupons.

At my house when someone says they don’t like what we’re having for dinner, they don’t get very much pity. In fact, if we say anything at all we say, “Let them eat cake.”

But every once in a while it’s nice to have a meal that everyone will love. So for those times, I usually order a few pizzas from Pizza Hut.
